     The temple
Temple of lions: These mighty staircases lead to the top of the hill where the temple is located. It was built around 2600 B.C. The steps were used for 11 centuries.

The Hurrian gods: We believe that the temple in Tell Mozan is dedicated to the Hurrian god Kumarbi, the father of all gods. Kumarbi appears in the late Hurrian texts. and he is described as roaming the mountains, as we see him in the photo here, which is a seal impression found in the royal palace, and offers a great representation of Kumarbi.

Other Hurrian rituals - Altanni: The Hurrian texts speaks of snakes used in rituals to predict the future by observing their movements in the water. We found this jar on the palace floor (broken to more than 100 pieces), we also found similar sherds in the palace. The Hurrian name for this jar is altanni, and we can imagine how they used it in the palace.
